What kind of pattern is this?

This is a paper piecing pattern.

Is this project good for beginners?

This pattern assumes you have some previous experience with paper piecing. If you've done some quilting but have never tried paper piecing, never fear: it's fun and easy. Check out some of the many free video tutorials available on the Internet, and start with one of the simpler blocks (that is, one without curves, like the letter A!) ... any of these would be the perfect way to get your feet wet.

Where can I get the rest of the blocks?

The complete alphabet will be released in 2017. Sign up for the list and you'll be the first to know.

How big are the blocks?

Each block finishes up at 7 x 7 inches square.

What should I do with my finished alphabet blocks?

The ABC quilt block pattern was designed to be flexible, producing blocks you can use in a bunch of different ways. Starting in the new year, on both the Patch and Dot blog and in the newsletter, you'll find extra instructions on how to turn them into:
