All year long I’ve been following Aurifil’s ‘Designers of the Month‘ series, hoping to do all of the projects but finally realizing that it’s June and I should just pick one and make it. Their theme this year is mini quilts (last year if you remember it was a block-of-the-month project). Kimberly Jolly‘s pattern really grabbed me … there is something very sweetly nostalgic about the kind of concentric geometric design (Canadians will get where I’m coming from here). With some Morning Walk fat quarters, a tiny bit of Cookie Book, and some scraps from the stash, I’m really happy with the way it turned out.
p.s. Be sure to stop by next Tuesday … Patch + Dot will be hosting Jen of Quilter in the Closet‘s Building Block Tuesday link up, and I’ve got something special planned to go along with it. (This week’s host is Alison of Little Bunny Quilts so head over and check out her post as well!)
Linking up with Crazy Mom Quilts for Finish it Up Friday
I am so glad to find your post via Crazy Mom Quilts. I did the Aurifil BOM project last year and never checked to see what they are doing this year! Now I have to go and look at the projects the have posted. I love the fabrics you used on this mini!
great mini! love the colors, and the off set of your middle.
Wonderful color choices. Lovely job.
Love your placement of pretty fabrics and the assymetry and the quilting is perfect for the project!
A cutie! 🙂 🙂
