Blackletter is a foundation paper piecing quilt pattern. It includes 26 individual lowercase letter blocks as well as a pattern for a 47” x 46” baby quilt. Each letter is 4" x 9.5" (with the exception of some of the wider letters).
Difficulty level: intermediate or confident beginner
Foreground, 2/3 yard total scraps, or about 9 jelly roll strips. (For the letters in the pictured baby quilt I used 8 fat eighths, with fabric to spare.)
For the baby quilt, all of the above, plus:
Background, 1 1/4 yards
Backing, 3 yards
Binding, 3/8 of a yard
As seen in Issue 93 of Love Patchwork & Quilting Magazine!
