Hope everyone is safe and well out there. This week I’ve got a fun project to share that can be done in an afternoon.

I started with this really fantastic free pattern by Patchwork & Poodles. I’ve been on the lookout for a great stocking pattern for quite a while. Eliane’s design has the perfect shape (in my opinion), and the instructions were easy to follow, with a really nicely finished end result (no unfinished edges or thick seams to deal with).

Then, I added a letter from my Blackletter alphabet (incorporating it into the piece I would use for the front panel before tracing out the stocking shape). These letters just so happen to be the right size for the “small” stocking (which finished up at about 13.5″ tall).

Now to make one for myself!
