The Blackletter Quilt pattern is now available! I’m so excited to share this one. The response to the “Hope” blocks earlier this year was really encouraging, and I’ve been working ever since to create a complete alphabet. This quilt pattern is paper pieced, including a full lowercase alphabet, with printable FPP templates. It also includes instructions for a 47″ x 46″ baby quilt or wall hanging.
Above is the top before quilting. Below is the finished quilt, with a lovely cloudy backing from the clearance section of a local shop, and an acid green polka dot binding (fabric by Lecien Japan).
I’m actually keeping this one for myself but I thought it would be fun to show what it looks like all bundled up as a gift. I think the letter blocks could come in so handy for personalizing quilts or bags. (Maybe as an end of the year teacher gift?)
Update! Since releasing the pattern I’ve been so excited to see all your creative projects. Here are just a few. I also had a chance to use the blocks to sew some personalized quilted stockings (using a free pattern) and put together a little primer here.
