Welcome to quilt work in progress (WIP) Wednesdays! As a quilter, so many of my projects exist happily in that yet-to-be-finished state that it seems a shame to let them languish without sharing until that last inch of binding has been stitched.

So I’m kicking things off with a brand new project: an Uppercase Blackletter Alphabet quilt! It’s hard to believe this is only the second uppercase version I’ve made. The first one used a bundle of day glo Phosphor electric fabrics by Libs Elliott. On a midnight blue background it looked very much like Lite Brite and I was very happy with how it turned out  (learn all about it here).

Patch and Dot Quilt WIP Wednesdays

For this one I’ve gone in a different direction, using just two fabrics. For the letters, Moxie in neon pink by Rifle Paper Co. for Cotton and Steel, and for the background Blue Chambray by Tilda.

I’m aiming to make it a square wall hanging and will probably use the same layout as the last one, but will update this post as soon as I finalize the sashing and binding measurements that I’ll be using.
