Little Pumpkins are here! This is a foundation paper piecing (FPP) pattern featuring two little jack o’ lanterns. It includes templates for two blocks, with options to sew using two different methods: FPP alone, or a simplified FPP template with appliquéd faces.
The finished block sizes are:
– 4˝ x 4˝ (4.5˝ x 4.5˝ unfinished)
– 6˝ x 6˝ (6.5˝ x 6.5˝ unfinished)
Want some spooky sewing inspiration? Check out the super fun colour combos and original projects that my amazing testers came up with using these blocks, on Instagram under the hashtag #littlepumpkinquiltblock. I love the way the palettes for Halloween fabric have broadened so much in recent years to go far beyond traditional black and orange. These guys can look scary or sweet depending on the fabrics you choose!
Here’s one that I made using mostly Cotton and Steel fabrics (with a tiny bit of Carolyn Friedlander for the stem). I would say this one is more on the spooky side!
